How to Demand Engagement on Social Media Platforms
Do you feel like you hear crickets after posting something on social media platforms?
You come up with a real witty post that is very helpful and no one engages with you and you begin to wonder what you are doing wrong.
One of the simplest ways to start getting engagement is to make sure you are commenting and liking other people’s posts. You invoke the law of reciprocation in your favor and when you are commenting and liking other people’s posts people that are friends with them will sometimes go see what you are all about if you leave good comments.
I had almost zero engagement just a few years ago until I figured out if I wanted to use social media as a method to build my business I had better be social.
Some people say I don’t know what to post…
What could you post that could possible inspire or help someone today, put out that intention before you do anything. So many people just copy and paste old quotes or copy a post from some leader of the industry you are in and while those posts may get some engagement you should always put your own commentary with it if you go that route.
Once you have it set in your mind that you are out to help and inspire people you will create better posts in your own words and more than likely people will start engaging with you as long as you continue to comment and like other peoples posts.
Building your business on social media platforms requires you to hustle as you can only connect with so many people in a day. I prefer long term solutions such as blogging and paid advertising.
If you are just getting started connecting with people on social media platforms is a great way to jump start your business.
